Bourou NOGUCHI Noboribetsu is an adults-only hotel featuring spacious Western-style suites with wood floors, wide windows, and mountain views. It's a 1-hour drive from New Chitose Airport and near Jigokudani Volcanic Valley and Noboribetsu Bear Park.

The private onsen in the room was charming and cozy, especially considering the age of the hotel rooms. However, the room definitely needs repair or modernization; after all these years you notice the wear and tear (electrical plugs, bathroom fittings, etc.).

The suites each have a private onsen, and we also liked the public onsen that featured a dry sauna, a cold bath, and an outdoor milk sulfur bath. The kaiseki dinner was superb, and the Japanese breakfast was great. We also enjoyed the free drinks at the lounge, which were included in the room rate. For a place at this level, a smart TV for streaming would be expected; having only basic Japanese TV was a let‑down, especially since many budget spots now offer that.
