Heritage Grand - Badulla

The staff were helpful and friendly, but the room was not up to standard and the toilet was smelly.

My recent stay at the Heritage Grand Badulla was absolutely wonderful and deeply comfortable. After a tiring journey, I was greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a slice of cake that instantly revived my energy and made me feel truly valued. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive, taking care of every detail. Dining was a highlight; food was delicious and delivered straight to my room so I could eat in privacy at my own pace. Secure parking gave me peace of mind. I’m very happy with the experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Badulla.

I enjoyed a lovely stay and felt the hotel offered great value; the restaurant served generous portions at reasonable prices, and breakfast included tasty American and Sri Lankan options. What really stood out was the consistently courteous, friendly, and helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. The only downsides were the lack of a shower curtain, which leaves the floor wet after a shower, and the bed had only a sheet on the mattress with no mattress protector, which felt a bit less hygienic.

“Good Place to stay when passing through. Need Improvement in the shower. Tall people might find it.”

Breakfast was good, the staff were very helpful, and the hotel felt safe in the city center. The shower in the washroom was too low for tall people like me, and the AC didn’t cool enough—it needs servicing.

“No estuvo mal, pero tampoco enamora”

We were only staying for one night before catching the train from Badulla, so a basic place was fine. It’s a plain hotel with no special charm, but it’s decent; the photos might make you expect more. Breakfast was good and parking was included. Nothing particularly negative or positive.
