“Double booked, ghosted, scammed”
I was double‑booked and never heard from the owner; the phone number listed was wrong. I had to unlock the door myself and found other guests’ clothes and belongings in my room. I had to scramble to find a new place at the last minute and never got a refund. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
“Uma casa na árvore legal mas sem muito conforto”
The place really feels like a treehouse with a huge balcony that’s great for cooking and a hammock; the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the toilet didn’t flush, so we had to use a bucket. We ran out of water for two whole days because the pipe connection seemed very makeshift; sometimes someone would fix it and water would return for a few hours. When we mentioned these issues, the owner said, “It’s just in the middle of the forest, so there’s nothing we can do,” which felt like an excuse for renting a place that wasn’t ready. Meanwhile, friends at the nearby lodge had water, a working toilet, and everything else. The blanket on the bed was dirty and stained, so we used our sleeping bag instead, though the sheets and pillowcases were clean. There was construction in the room above us, causing some noise, but nothing major. Even though we endured the lack of water and a broken toilet, when I asked to use the washing machine the owner refused and said she would charge extra; she never offered a discount for the inconveniences.
Everything was high‑placed—shelves and sinks made it a bit difficult. The bathroom had no place to put items, and the mini‑fridge was on the floor, so it was hard to use. On the plus side, waking up to the sound of the sea was delightful, and having a clay filter was a bonus. A map of Trindade in the accommodation helped with planning. The host was very cordial and gave many tips. The location is far from local shops and main attractions; if you’re driving it’s fine, but walking might be an issue.
“A melhor vibe!”
The rustic style and spectacular view were amazing—total harmony with nature! Yanina’s hospitality was wonderful. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The host’s service was excellent, always ready to guide us to points of interest or meet our needs. The place is beautiful, offers a great sea view, and has a well‑equipped kitchen!
