The spot was perfect—quiet and peaceful, right in the middle of everything. Every morning the host whipped up a delicious breakfast, and the bed was super comfy. I wish there had been a fridge in the room so I could keep a bottle of wine or water, and the bathroom supplies were pretty sparse.

The location was ideal, right in the heart of Puligny Montrachet’s vineyards. Each day’s breakfast was a pleasant surprise and well prepared. The rooms on that floor were on a tricky staircase, and the heat made it almost impossible to stay comfortable without air conditioning. The owner, however, was very present.
