Houseboat Hotel and Nile Cruises Zainoba

Simply put, Abdelshakour’s welcome made our stay truly special. His kindness, generosity, and all the little touches made us feel at home. The boat is gorgeous, very pleasant, and provides a magical setting to enjoy the Nile. A lovely break, full of calm, conviviality, and beautiful memories. ❤️ Amany & Hamida 🇪🇬😉 Nothing to report; everything went very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Péniche adorable sur le Nil”

The houseboat sits perfectly on Elephantine Island’s west coast, shielded from the heat and city noise with a refreshing breeze. We reached it by ferry from the Nil Corniche (“Aswan Island Elephantine Siou Side”) and then walked across the island—just five minutes on foot. The view from the boat is heavenly, with Kitchener Island opposite, its birds and greenery, and the western Nile bank’s sand behind. The room was simple but adequate, featuring a small bathroom, a fan, and air‑conditioning. Abdul, the owner, greeted us with extraordinary warmth, helped arrange drivers for several trips at reasonable rates, and his local restaurant tips were spot‑on. Breakfast was hearty and enjoyable—eggs, fries, jam, and baladi bread. I can’t wait to return!

It’s the second time we’ve stayed there, and everything we noted the first time (re‑copied below) remains relevant! The barge is superbly positioned on the west coast of Elephantine Island, shielded from the heat and city noise with a nice cooling breeze. We get there by ferry from the Nile Corniche (“Aswan Island Elephantine Siou Side”) and then cross the island (five minutes on foot). The view from the barge is paradise‑like, with Kitchener Island across, its birds and greenery, and the western Nile shore sand behind. The room was simple and adequate, with a small bathroom, a fan, and an air conditioner. Abdul, the owner, was extremely warm. He helped us find drivers for several trips, always at reasonable prices, and his local restaurant recommendations were perfect. Breakfast was hearty and enjoyable – eggs, fries, jam, and baladi bread. We can’t wait to go back!
