“Excellent guesthouse in Bentota”
We spent 1.5 months at this cozy, secluded guesthouse in Bentota and it was fantastic. The single guest room sits on the second floor of a separate building above the kitchen, accessed by a narrow staircase about 70 cm wide, giving a peaceful vibe. Inside, the spacious bathroom has two showers (one with a water heater), the bedroom features a king‑size bed, and a compact kitchen comes with a microwave, hot plate, kettle, and cookware. Air conditioning works well, and we enjoyed a private balcony plus a shared patio. Kalyani cooked generous, delicious breakfasts that kept us full most of the day, and any brief water supply hiccups were fixed quickly. The beach is just a 5‑minute walk away, complete with lifeguards, sunbeds, surfing lessons, and a sheltered swimming area, while shops and restaurants are a 15‑minute walk. Thanks to Jegath and Kalyani for their warm welcome and consistently high standard of care—we’d gladly return.
