Everyone was very friendly and straightforward. The bed was extremely comfortable and was carefully made. The room décor was tasteful.

The lodge is quiet, located in a wonderful spot where you can even see ancient trees. The food is delicious, homemade, and sourced from local farmers of Őrség. The surrounding area is populated by kind, friendly people. Nearby there is an almost unused beautiful new playground, as well as outdoor fitness equipment right next to the forest’s oxygen-rich air. Young people still keep traditions alive, and we occasionally heard and saw folk dancers practicing. If you want true peace, restorative silence, a friendly forest setting, genuine value, and food without any additives, you will find exactly what you’re looking for here. It would have been nice to have a bit more evergreen, pine, muscat or other flowers to decorate the lodge and its surroundings; that was somewhat missing. Also, walking to the spacious parking from the lodge was a bit awkward.

The area is beautiful, calm, and perfect for hiking or relaxing. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic, with huge portions and very tasty. I especially recommend the strudels with vanilla ice cream and pumpkin seed oil! No complaints.
