The welcome, the room, the house, the village, and the shared breakfast were all lovely.

Breakfast came with fresh brioche and focaccia, and Martina and her adorable little dog were very friendly; they waited for us until 22:30. Martina gave useful tips about the area, the huge terrace offered an amazing view, and the house was pretty good—cool in the evenings. A downside: maybe add some juice and yogurt to breakfast, but that’s a nitpicking detail.

In the hills of Sestri, the fresh air and beautiful panorama were wonderful. The only issue was missing cutlery.

The host was kind, sunny, and helpful. However, there was no TV, the Wi‑Fi was hard to use, the curtains were questionable, and there was no air conditioning, though the temperature was fine for a hilltop location.
