Everything was fine, except there was a dog in the common area almost all the time, which my wife, who has a phobia of dogs, didn’t expect. The dog in common areas was a problem, and the bed was quite fragile for a 6‑ft, 100‑kg guy like me.

Overall, it was fine. There’s a kitchen where you can cook your own meals, and a tea or coffee maker is available. John was kind enough to help me carry my luggage to the room, which I appreciated. The cost was a bit steep for me, since a hostel shouldn’t charge so much for a bunk bed; they said it would be charged online, but it wasn’t, which worried me because I was traveling light.

I’m close to Kaleiçi, and the shared lounge lets me use a microwave, which I liked. The taxi service was arranged so I could head to the terminal early in the morning. The hostel only opens its doors at 8 am, so I couldn’t drop off my luggage earlier because the doors were locked.

I had a really great stay at Be Bold Hostel. The vibe is very friendly and social, and it’s easy to meet people from different countries and make new friends. The staff were always kind and helpful, and I felt very comfortable during my stay. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from Kaleiçi and Hadrian’s Gate, with plenty of places around to explore. I especially enjoyed the common areas and the activities — they make it much easier for solo travellers to connect with other guests. I stayed for 10 days, and by the end it felt like much more than just a place to sleep. I met some wonderful people and left Antalya with very good memories. I would definitely stay at Be Bold again. Thank you to the whole team! 😊
