A great place to rest in Bahia Solano; the pool is small but perfect for hot afternoons. It’s very close to the beach, the Esso pier, and the Love Pool, and from there you can arrange whale‑watching trips and visit other beaches. When we paid the bill, they added a 6% surcharge for card payments, which wasn’t disclosed anywhere, and that feels unfair compared to other hotel services.

“SERIOUS ISSUE WITH STAFF AND ROOM AMENITIES”

The hotel sits right next to an excellent dive center, which was super convenient. The biggest problem was the receptionist’s repeated attempts to move me into a much smaller room, even barging into my room uninvited, and she offered no refund or compensation, leaving me feeling genuinely threatened. The rest of the staff were friendly, so it seemed to be just one person, but it really impacted my stay. I had booked a room with a private pool, but none were available. The room itself had bare brick walls, air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a mini‑fridge. The lack of hot water was clearly disclosed at booking, so I have no complaint about that. Breakfast was relatively pricey and slower than expected at Bahia Solano; two nearby spots served a similar meal in about half the time.

Despite being my first trip to the Pacific, the experience was very nice ☺️. Pipe, the manager, helped a lot with information and transportation so we could get around. The place has a pool that lets you just relax when you arrive at night.

“Unbeatable price for a short stay”

The location and price were unbeatable, and it was also very close to the dive company we used for our dives in Bahia Solano. There was no hot water, and the pool was a bit dirty when we arrived.

Excellent location, daily housekeeping in the rooms, and they provide information on tours.
