The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless and the bed felt super comfortable, and the location is very central—just keep in mind it's a bar‑filled area so there's always music, but you can still rest well if the noise bothers you because the hotel gives you earplugs.

The spot in Getsemaní is great, with a lively vibe that mixes local life and tourism and almost everything within walking distance, plus a legendary salsa club right across from the hotel that adds to the atmosphere. We asked for a room away from the main street and the hotel obliged exactly. The room was clean, the bed comfy, the AC worked well, and hot water was available. Two nice pools were a nice bonus. Breakfast was basic, but we appreciated that the chef asked each morning how we wanted our eggs cooked and served them nicely. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and English communication was easy. The area can get noisy, especially with the salsa club and lively streets, but that’s part of Getsemaní’s character. The room was a bit humid, but given Cartagena’s hot, humid climate that’s understandable and the AC helped a lot.

We had two rooms and both were spacious. There are pools and they store luggage so you can go to nearby islands. In the middle of Getsemaní. In one of the rooms the street noise was loud at night. The other room had no window. On the last day we asked for a taxi to the airport, and the “taxi” that arrived seemed to be a friend or acquaintance of the hotel, not an official taxi. It was late because of an accident, the driving was dangerous, and the manners left a lot to be desired. We feel a hotel shouldn’t offer that when you’re asking for a taxi.
