The rooms are spacious enough and fairly clean, and being downtown means you can walk to restaurants without the usual nighttime noise. Unfortunately, despite checking for bed bugs, every family member woke up with bites in a line, which makes me worry about bringing those insects home.

The location lets you walk to most of downtown, but my one‑night stay included a $15 parking charge that I wasn’t expecting.

The reception staff were wonderful and very welcoming, offering plenty of tips on attractions and galleries, and the breakfast was out of this world—everyone who worked there was professional and courteous.

The carpet could have been vacuumed; on Tuesday there was debris on it that I finally picked up and put in the trash this AM before we left.
