“Had fun although the hotel is run down.”

The room was huge, complete with a long balcony, and the bathrooms were spacious and fine. Sunday brunch ranked among the best, and the bar’s music was lively and fun. However, the rooms feel very dated and dinghy, and the beds were awful—our king bed was so worn that we ended up sleeping on separate queens. My husband could barely walk the next morning and I felt very stiff. The Bully restaurant took forever to serve us a hamburger that was raw, and bar service was also very slow.

“We always enjoy our stay. Very comfortable beds and food was excellent. Beautiful surroundings.”

We always enjoy the breakfast buffet, though it feels overpriced. The bathroom amenities were great, and the pool area is a favorite with lovely flowers everywhere. The chicken wings were excellent. The only downside was that the bathrooms outside the rooms were in the basement; we did find one in the pool area. The breakfast buffet remains overpriced.

I’ve stayed here 7–8 times; the service is always top‑class and the property feels upscale, so I’ll be back next year.
