The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and warm, and the restaurant was amazing; everything stayed spotless. The frequent power outages were annoying, though I suspect it wasn't their fault.

“Amazing food, great hotel, change school to learn kite surfing!”

The hotel was fantastic. We stayed in the Dune room and the staff—barman, cleaners, restaurant crew, receptionist—were all exceptional, and the food was incredible. As a French person, I was impressed by the cuisine; apparently the chef is Mexican. The only major downside was the kite‑surfing experience: the school was awful, with no staff available, too much wind, or not enough instructors, and the coach Abdou was absent in the city center during the afternoon, leaving us frustrated. I had to talk to the manager, who approved an assistant to teach us, but the level was poor and there were no walkie‑talkies, so the learning curve was slow. Next to the hotel is Evasion, within walking distance; go there and ask for a teacher, or better yet contact Kalima school—they’re a remote school that picks you up and moves with the wind, changing spots as conditions change, and they have walkie‑talkies.

The power kept cutting out half the time, and when we tried to work remotely we almost never had Wi‑Fi. The photos on Booking look very appealing, but the reality was a bit different.

“À refaire malgré quelques petites améliorations à prévoir”

The venue, location, common areas, and staff friendliness were all great. The restaurant had a very long wait time, there was a big disparity between rooms with and without a view, and we experienced several power outages.
