“Goede ligging in Damme centrum, maar helaas intense tabaksgeur”

The location was good: Damme center, which was the only and main reason for my booking. The room and bathroom were somewhat outdated but clean. There was parking at the back. A strong, pervasive tobacco smell filled the room from the chronic smoking in the basement café. Everything was smoke‑stained. I suspect they tried to mask it with air fresheners, but it backfired. The stink lingered in my nose and clothes. If I had known, I would never have booked here.

“The lady that looked after us the owners hotel lovely”

The hotel sits in a central spot with plenty of local restaurants nearby, so I'd recommend it. The location isn’t actually in Bruges, but getting there is easy enough.

The staff were very friendly and there’s a convenient car park behind the building. The whole place smells like old cigarette smoke, and we didn’t realize the bathroom and toilet were in the middle of the room with no separating door because the photos or listing didn’t show that. I would not have booked if I’d known. The room was very basic, not very clean, with dead insects and dust. We clearly weren’t the right fit for this inn.

“Het was goed voor 1 nacht !!!!!!!!!!!!”

The breakfast was very basic and the location was great. We booked a deluxe room but ended up in a loft room with no proper lighting or ventilation in the bathroom. The wardrobe was half full of junk and a single coat hanger, and there was no chair in the room. The bathroom didn’t even have a cup for brushing teeth, and there were only two towels.
