“Loved Mereside”

I loved everything about Mereside; when I opened my room’s door it was conspicuous, clean, comfortable and cozy, and staying for four nights felt like home. The location was perfect, with a bus stop about a three‑minute walk that takes you almost everywhere on the island, and the electric railway and horse tram terminal 15 minutes on foot. The breakfast was very delicious—another thing that exceeded my expectations. There were no negatives.

“Nice stay, lovely staff”

Lovely staff. Good breakfast. The room was comfortable and the lift was available. Handy for Nobles Parkrun! Halfway along the Prom and up a hill, so walking or bus needed to reach town or railway stations – not an issue for us but worth noting. Our room (102) was directly above the bar/restaurant, so it was quite noisy, especially the piped music in the evening.

“Nice b&b that was comfortable, clean and handy for parking with nice breakfast”

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast choices - especially smoked salmon and Manx kippers. The stand out employee was Kay who worked at breakfast and serviced rooms. She was a ray of sunshine - always smiling, pleasant and no request was too much trouble. There were always spaces on the road to park. We had booked a double room with en-suite with shower cubicle. I was very disappointed to be allocated a disabled room with wet room bathroom. I told the male receptionist that I wasn’t happy with the bathroom but he just said. “It’s a wet room”. It certainly was as everything in the bathroom was soaking wet after we showered so we had to wipe everything down with towels 🙁

“3 days at Mereside”

Very friendly staff. The room was lovely. Breakfast was very good. Nothing to dislike.
