“charmantes Hotel an perfekter Lage”

The small hotel sits directly on the harbor promenade, access is from the back side in the old town, you have to look a bit; we parked our rental car outside the old town, about an 8‑minute walk to the free parking, we had a clean large room but without harbor view, which meant it was very quiet; breakfast is served at the table but only from 9:00 am, and on the departure day we received something for breakfast in the fridge the night before.

“Nice hotel, charming location. No real staff commitment, and terrible breakfast.”

The room and view were stunning, but the staff setup clearly needs improvement. A very young girl was on duty, which left a bad impression. The staff attitude was sullen and non‑communicative; when we asked to use the toilet before leaving she said no, and her response was shocked and unhelpful. This is not what I’d expect from a hotel in Chania, especially after staying at many here, including this one 15 years ago. If you can’t be present, get someone more experienced to manage the property. The breakfast looked impressive at first glance but turned out awful: all processed foods, weak watery coffee, and apparently no cooked options. I’d suggest offering fresh bread or pastries and decent coffee instead of the current inedible selection.

The staff were very friendly and the early‑morning breakfast was great, especially the 3 am option.
