“Sehr einfache Unterkunft, ok für eine Nacht direkt am Nationalpark.”

The location is 5 minutes on foot to the Nationalpark Mt. Kinabalu. The room and bedding are simple, but clean and tidy. Nice dogs. The toilet was broken, so the bathroom floor was wet and smelled bad. The staff were completely uninterested, offering no help or information. The lady spent the whole time in her room playing with her phone. The property gives a neglected impression. The street was very noisy all night. We left after one of the two nights.

“Fair”

The view and location are good. The washroom was dirty. Dogs are too much disturbing – they shouldn’t keep dogs. Please change your security to humans instead of dogs. This is a Muslim-majority country. Please give respect and self‑understanding.

The owner is careful and really nice. Great location, near the park. I would recommend without a doubt. There was a small leak in the sink of the bathroom, but nothing serious.

“Great view, basic but clean and welcoming”

We stayed in the backpackers bunk room and had it to ourselves, which was great luck! This family‑run business is well run and they are working hard to make the premises enjoyable and welcoming. We were greeted enthusiastically by the dogs and a friendly cat. The outlook from the seating area is beautiful. The bunk room is basic but clean and comfortable. We knew the bathroom was separate, but it’s outside on concrete steps a distance away. Well lit at night. We loved that Kinabalu National Park entrance is only 200 meters away.
