“Disappointing but was somewhere to sleep”
The hotel sits in a quiet part of Lake Como, close enough to walk everywhere, and the pre‑check‑in was hassle‑free. The bed was comfortable, and I had to message staff on WhatsApp about an issue that I eventually sorted out myself, but the reply was quick, helpful, and friendly. I paid for an optional extra to have petals arranged on the bed in a shape of my choice, which was a nice touch. City tax was reasonable and all was sorted before check‑in. The room was small; the window was initially open and couldn’t be shut, but I managed to fix it. A cable for the electric kettle didn’t work, so I had to plug it elsewhere. The room smelled damp even after opening the window for ventilation. The shower was tiny, the bathroom bin had no lid, and an old hair dryer part was left in the bathroom. The only mountain view came from the communal balcony entrance, not from the room itself. The bed slats were falling apart, and overall the room felt unclean, untidy, low quality, and cramped. The kettle plug didn’t fit the socket, and everything seemed outdated or poorly standard.
