We were unable to stay because the host denied us the room with a shared bathroom we had booked, claiming other guests wanted an exclusive bathroom. The host should have removed the room from booking instead of allowing us to book and pay. Even though she forced us to cancel for free, the refund took more than 7 days. We had to scramble to find a new place where the phone signal was terrible. It was a terrible experience that had never happened to me before—rude and the problem was not addressed, leaving us homeless at the last minute.

The lady was kind, but that’s not everything! I want to point out that we didn’t stay; we asked for a free cancellation, which the lady accepted. Upon arrival, the place wasn’t ready despite an exchange confirming the arrival time. The bathroom was not private, there was no breakfast buffet as advertised, the coffee machine was outside on a cart, and the dishes were mixed in a large basin also outside. Towels came from a big plastic bag, there was no Wi‑Fi, and so on—avoid it.

I found a private parking spot right next to the B&B, and the garden looked tidy and pleasant. The lady who welcomed us was very kind and affectionate; she wanted to meet us personally and brought sweets and two juices for breakfast. The fridge and air conditioning worked well, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We were offered two bottles of fresh water in the fridge. The problem started with a message at 18:56 asking us to arrive at 19:00 because the lady would be busy, even though we had already told her we would be there around 20:00. We waited about twenty minutes for her arrival, even though she said we could enter the room from the veranda, but we were unsure which room was ours. All this caused us to be late for a dinner we had booked. The lady also told us that the shower was recently repaired, but it had cracks that let a lot of water leak, flooding the corridor from the bathroom to the room, which was quite inconvenient. We didn’t have keys to lock our room, only keys for the entrance door to access the rooms, and when we left the property for dinner we noticed another set of keys on a small table for room access, which made the place feel unsafe (anyone could get in). The blinds on the windows and sliding doors were mostly broken. Only the ground floor was usable; the two upper floors were unfinished, still under renovation with exposed bricks, so the building was somewhat questionable. The lady was genuinely very friendly, so we regret giving such a low rating, but the property needs more professionalism and experience to manage guests properly. We cannot recommend staying here unless significant changes are made to the care of the property and clientele.

The new building had only the ground floor finished, and Piera was friendly and attentive, meeting our needs which we appreciated a lot. However, the house was messy despite being clean, there were missing dishes including glasses, and we had trouble with hot water.

The value for money was great, the garden was excellent, the location was perfect, and the lady was super friendly. The room was a bit small and the bathroom didn’t have direct access from the room.
