The breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of everything, but there was no way to eat somewhere in town.

Breakfast was absolutely great. The housekeeper watched us and made us think. The nearby area is strange; all the shops closed except for one buffet, which also has a superb blueberry lemonade and a great candy shop. Both are right on the square, about a minute from the lodging. The location is great for car trips, with larger towns within 30 minutes. In Kunštát itself it’s really boring, with few things to do. It would help if the town invested a bit more in infrastructure and entertainment. The morning rides were interesting when the farmers drove tractors under the windows, but the housekeeper couldn’t handle that.

The breakfast was outstanding, always fresh bread and vegetables, a different hot dish each day, and a full range of drinks you’d want with breakfast. They put a lot of emphasis on local foods, and the same was true for dinner. Large portions, great taste, with the option to add extras. The pension offers endless possibilities from table tennis, sauna, whirlpool, to conference rooms with a projector, a social room with board games, and many romantic to intimate corners for a drink. The owner’s willingness and friendliness are unmatched. Thank you so much for everything! Overall, we were very disappointed by how deserted the square in Kunžak feels. Before other businesses there are benches, tables, and umbrellas, but behind the windows it’s dark and the menus on the signs are decades old. We wish this centre of the Czech Canada would welcome successful and determined entrepreneurs who would complement the Skalíček pension with their offerings and service, restoring the high level of tourist appeal that this location deserves.
