Tulip Hotel

Nothing. I wasn’t allowed in despite a valid booking. The owner had previously written that there was a power outage and that he could not accommodate guests at the moment. Power outages happen here often. I replied that there was still time and the issue should be solvable, but I received no response and the booking was never officially cancelled. We still went. We found a band at the entrance as a barrier and a place that looked more like a construction site than a power outage. The Chinese chef was in China and unreachable. The business practices were somewhat odd.

Nice hotel close to the airport. The rooms are spacious, high, and comfortable. Free bike rentals are available, and scooters can also be rented on site. The hotel offers a taxi to the city for 30 000 Kip per person. Breakfast sets are available in the restaurant. The only drawback is that it’s far from the city center. The bikes could also be in slightly better condition.

“Très bien”

My stay had its ups and downs. The spacious room and bathroom were a delight, and the beautiful view of the rice field and mountain was a bonus. However, the housekeeping was only half done, and one of the younger staff members at the front desk was quite unfriendly, which was a shame. On a more positive note, the other staff members were super helpful, but the breakfast was a letdown - it was not impressive and lacked variety.

“Gutes Hotel aber zu weit weg von der City Luang Namtha mit Restaurants und Nachtmarkt”

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag, with some highlights and some major drawbacks. The hotel's entrance was impressive, with two large pillars that set the tone for the rest of the property. The rooms were also spacious and offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains. However, the hotel's staff seemed a bit disinterested, which was a shame given the friendly nature of the Laotian people.

“Nice guesthouse with very helpful staff”

I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at this hotel, thanks to its spacious and immaculately clean room. Although it had its flaws, the room's cleanliness and ample space made up for any minor issues.
