“Good, but we need more to meet the comfort and entertainment of the guests”
The beach is a major highlight – beautiful sand, great for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the sea – and the location is very appealing, making the hotel a solid choice for a beach holiday. Dining was generally enjoyable with a good variety of food offered through two restaurants: an Oriental restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, and an international restaurant offering a diverse selection of dishes. What really shines is the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. Throughout our stay we were met with genuine smiles, kindness, generosity, and a sincere willingness to help. I especially want to thank Mr. Khaled Zaama, Food & Beverage Manager, for his outstanding professionalism, exceptional courtesy, kindness, and genuine care for guests. He is a remarkable example of hospitality leadership, combining professionalism with excellent interpersonal skills. His respectful manner and dedication deserve special recognition. Despite a few areas that could improve, we truly appreciate this hotel and look forward to returning for a third visit, God willing. I would definitely recommend The Grand Hotel Hurghada, especially to guests who value a beautiful beach, good food variety, and warm, welcoming hospitality. The overall experience was positive, but several areas could be improved to enhance guest satisfaction. Room conditions and mattress comfort: The hotel has both fully renovated rooms and older, unrenovated rooms. Unfortunately, we were allocated one of the older rooms during this stay. The room, particularly the bathroom, would benefit from refurbishment. Our main concern was the mattress, which was excessively firm and uncomfortable, causing body aches and negatively affecting our sleep quality. Comfortable bedding is a fundamental expectation of a four‑star hotel, and I sincerely hope management will prioritize reviewing and upgrading mattresses in the older rooms. Check‑in experience: The check‑in process took longer than expected, especially considering that our visit was in October and hotel occupancy appeared moderate. A more efficient reception process would make the arrival experience more pleasant. Entertainment and animation: Daytime activities and evening entertainment were extremely limited, sometimes almost nonexistent. The animation team would benefit from stronger guest engagement and a more varied, lively entertainment program. Hot beverages: The quality of certain drinks, particularly cappuccino and Nescafé coffee, was below expectations and would benefit from better ingredients and preparation. These comments are intended as constructive feedback rather than criticism. The hotel has excellent potential, and I sincerely hope that management will address these points, particularly room comfort and entertainment, to provide a more consistent and enjoyable experience for all guests.
