The place was beautiful, surrounded by greenery, and we woke up to the sounds of nature (including monkeys!); the cabins have a lovely individual terrace, the late‑afternoon pool is a relief and relaxation after a hot day, breakfast is delicious, and Judith, the manager, is a sweetheart!

The rooms were spotless, shower surprisingly roomy, mosquito nets and tight windows kept bugs out. We hit a hiccup with the water supply, but the staff fixed it in about three hours and even offered a good deal.

The wooden cabins sit right in the jungle, howler monkeys greet you at dawn, and a faint hum of traffic in the distance. The steep gravel drive is a bit of an adventure, but the breakfast is tasty and the little pool is a nice way to cool off. A fan keeps the bedroom breezy at night, and the lack of AC isn't a problem for us.

The pool and the whole property were lovely, and we could cook in the shared kitchen and relax in the seating area. The host was friendly and full of local tips. Unfortunately the house had a damp, musty odor from the humidity, the breakfast was mostly sugary and the fruit was often overripe, and we had to rely on a car to reach the beach and town.

“Una sorpresa agradable”

Everything was great – close to the marine park, a supermarket, and with a fully equipped kitchen. The pool was pleasant, and from our cabin we could watch monkeys, even hearing howler monkeys rouse us in the morning. The breakfast was great, and the host was attentive to every need.
