“LOVE and almost didn’t want to leave!”
I’d 100000% stay at Vila Malasi again if I’m ever back in Berat. The owner Albi was the kindest and most helpful, treating me like family. Him and his staff set the tables for guests every morning for breakfast, which was so heartwarming for me as a solo female traveler. The room was very clean and all the sheets and towels smelled fresh. I drove the car up by myself but they also offered to help you park if you have trouble coming up since the alleyways were pretty narrow. Nothing—perfection!!

We had a great stay at Villa Malasi. Our room was very big, the bed comfortable, and it had a long balcony with a stunning view. The manager, Albi, was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay and even drove our car up to their parking. Breakfast is good and the lady serving it together with Albi (sorry, didn’t ask her name) was extremely kind. We really felt at home and would certainly come back. The house is located a bit uphill (and that’s why it’s wonderfully quiet at night and the balcony view is so good) and reachable through cobblestone alleys. It’s just 5 minutes to reach the square, but this could still be challenging for somebody with walking issues (as are many other places because of Berat’s topography).

The spot is great and the staff were super helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist and flexible with our requests. The view is definitely worth it! The road to the property is honestly pretty tough—the drive up is wild 😅, but the view more than makes up for it. The host was super helpful and even got into our car to guide us up, so it wasn’t a big problem in the end.
What we liked most was Albi’s hospitality. We’re very grateful for his help and recommendations. He’s been a great host. Our room was clean and very spacious. Thanks!! Nothing, everything was perfect.
