The room was decent with a fairly modern bathroom, but the photos were very misleading and made it seem like it was part of the tavern, which it isn’t. It was disappointing to find that the tiny brick building sits right below the tavern next to the old Pacific Highway. The room was clean and nicely presented, and the staff were absolutely lovely. The location and the unrealistic idea of the property’s views and setting shown in the photos were the only drawbacks.

The property’s location is easy to reach from the main precinct, making it a good spot for a single night stopover. The tavern served good meals, and a well‑lit footpath between the tavern and the motel added convenience for guests. There were no complaints; it was a good value for a short stay.

We were pleased with our choice. The staff were very cooperative. It was just an overnight stop on the way to Brisbane. We arrived late and found the key in the box outside the office door without any trouble. The unit was well appointed, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. It would have been better if we could have stayed longer.
