The space feels very pleasant, with good amenities, tasteful décor, a nice pool, and an excellent location for many activities, especially the Caminito del Rey. The views are spectacular, overlooking the surrounding area, the dam, El Chorro, and the final stretch of the Caminito del Rey. We definitely recommend it. The house can handle the heat if precautions are taken, but an air‑conditioner would be a convenient addition. The distance to shops and fuel stations is something to consider, though with precautions it isn’t truly a problem.

Casa Josefa is a charming cottage located in a beautiful, peaceful setting, ideal for lovers of active rest. The two terraces, the space around the house, and the large pool are big advantages, letting you cool off pleasantly on hot days. A short walk away is a clean, beautiful lake and the famous Caminito del Rey route. The cottage is very clean and well equipped. The host, Ela, deserves special mention for being extremely friendly, helpful, and always available, ensuring guests feel at home. We recommend this place to anyone seeking a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning. We arrived during an exceptionally hot period, and although the owners prepared several fans, they proved insufficient on the hottest nights. Despite that, we remember the stay very well and would gladly return.

“Short walk to El Chorro center and very nice bed rooms and beautiful garden.”

Very nice place with gardens and a beautiful mountain view. One door was low, so we hit our heads until we learned. The shower was so warm and felt great after a day in the mountains. I also liked how the garbage was handled, helping us take care of the environment by separating plastic and paper, and the owner had a compost bin ready. The local fruit and olive oil were great—clementines and grapefruit. The apartment is really roomy for the two of us. Top notch.

“Sehr authentisches kleines Häuschen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgerüstet.”

The location is outside the village, with a great view. The pool had a lot of chlorine.

The hosts, Ela and David, were attentive and friendly. The pool was very enjoyable. The rustic charm of the house made it a very welcoming place.
