The balcony gave a stunning view of the Meteora Rocks, the beds were comfy, the room was a good size, a water kettle was in the room (a rarity in Greece), the Wi‑Fi was strong, and it was peaceful; it just felt a little dated, which is common for hotels in villages and smaller Greek towns unless you’re willing to pay a fortune for a fancy boutique hotel.

This affordable hotel on Kalambaka’s main street is just two steps from the central tourist hub, everything was adequate, and a special thanks to receptionist Gianina, who was very kind, treated me like family, and made me feel special; I’d stay there again if I ever find myself in Kalambaka. The hotel sits near a huge municipal free parking lot, making it a convenient overnight base for a Meteora trip the next day; the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and despite the location it was surprisingly quiet.

We enjoyed the great view from our room, the room did its job, and the location was perfect for exploring Meteora; the staff were quick to sort out the room after we realized it wasn’t ready, but it wasn’t ready when we arrived after check‑in time, there were hairs on the floor, a hoover would have helped, the walls were thin, and the shower needed some DIY fixes.
