La chaleur extrême nous a empêché de profiter pleinement du lieu mais les propriétaires ont été sympas et la chambre était grande, dans un style authentique, avec une déco chargée de 1000 petites histoires. On reviendrait volontiers a une saison plus clémente pour profiter. Le climat du moment (40°) dehors et malgré la climatisation mobile, la chambre a eu peine à descendre sous les 27° (encore merci pour le prêt du ventilateur 😉)

Almost nothing matched the listing photos and description. Upon arrival, there was no signage; after the roadside sign, a fork in the road had no indication. The manor’s courtyard entrance was so off‑spec that we wondered if we’d mistaken the place! At the entrance, a folding clothes dryer was still out, bags of soil cluttered a staircase, and a camper van registered in the department practically blocked the entry. The room, though large, was bland, with low‑end “trendy” decor. No air‑conditioning (except a loud mobile unit) and the toilet was on the landing. From the window, the view was of dried gardens (heatwave and no watering) and all signs of ongoing construction: a wheelbarrow with rubble, an old tractor… To top it off, a ceramic pot on the sink hadn’t been cleaned; inside were makeup cottons, hair, and a used bandage!! 🤮 The listing didn’t clearly state that breakfast wasn’t included, so there was nothing for the morning (just a kettle and a tea bag).

The rooms have a very nice style with plenty of original decorations, very quiet, and are well‑located relative to Périgueux. The only downside: the room advertised as garden‑side is actually courtyard‑side, which is a bit disappointing.

The bedding is comfortable. The property is poorly maintained and a real mess. No breakfast. The value for money is very high for the region.
