The spot is amazing—on the main street you barely hear cars, and it gets even quieter at night. The terrace sunset is breathtaking and the walk to town is easy. We felt safe parking our bikes next to the room, hidden from the street. The room itself is a straightforward, old‑school Italian style that worked for us, though some might not like it. We were surprised to find that cash payment wasn’t advertised, which cost us more from Australia than using a card.

The view was gorgeous, the accommodation rustic yet personal, and the host’s mother gave a warm, friendly welcome. The place turned out to be a studio instead of the expected apartment (photos showed a 2‑bedroom flat), and there was no microwave, washing machine, or breakfast cutlery, among other missing items.
