I was thrilled to find the hotel tucked away in a quiet corner of Madeira, with the beach just a 2‑minute walk away. The sunrise swim was unforgettable—so many laps! The nearby bars and shops were fantastic. I visited Funchal but preferred Machico because it’s less hectic, making it a peaceful yet well‑connected spot on the island. The levada dos Maroços was close by, offering a beautiful, easy off‑the‑beaten‑track walk. My room was spotless, the blackout curtains worked great, and the coffee machine with mini rum and cookies was a delightful touch. The air‑con and bathroom fan were also good. I didn’t hear another guest anywhere, so it was my favorite stay as a solo traveler—peaceful, quiet, and exactly what I wanted.
