The historic building was gorgeous and the rooms were spacious; Jason at reception was super friendly and helpful, and the boat ride was amazing. The beds felt very comfortable and the overall vibe was great. However, the rooms weren’t clean—bathroom maintenance was poor, the drain didn’t work, curtains and mats were dirty. Even though we liked the lodge, the price was extremely high for an overnight stay, so the value was low. We waited over an hour for breakfast, only one waitress took orders, and we had to be punctual for the river boat, which added stress.

The place was gorgeous! I liked everything, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the boat trip was fantastic. The restaurant is nice but the food isn’t that great and the wine list isn’t impressive.

The location is amazing, the staff are friendly, the river boat trip was very good, and the on‑site restaurant is great with delicious food, quick service, and friendly wait staff. Swimming in the spring was fab, though I wish we’d booked a longer stay. Nothing else to mention.
