The place was spotless and the gear they provided was solid, plus the hosts were genuinely friendly. It was a bit too quiet and roomy for my taste, but the nearby barn and stable added an odd scent that I actually found kind of interesting rather than annoying.

Our host was warm and flexible, even bringing us a fresh bottle of farm milk that morning. She also arranged for her daughter, who works at the station, to keep us updated on road conditions.

Staying on this lively farm was a treat – about 30 milking cows, plenty of horses, a Bernese dog, cats, rabbits, chickens, and all the stuff that makes kids smile. While the kids got to experience farm life, we adults could just relax, and there were plenty of nearby options for skiing, hiking, or mountain biking.
