“So happy to have stayed in this hospice that has served travelers for over a thousand years”

We enjoyed delicious meals at shared tables and chatted with people from various cultures; the religious brothers were approachable and willing to discuss everything, from the Swiss neutrality vote to their Swiss Army experiences; the mass was moving, especially with young people actively participating, and it’s a visit we’ll always cherish.

“A feel good place with typical swiss etiquette.”

The staff were very considerate and the dinner was great, making it a perfect spot for cyclists tackling the Grand Saint Bernard pass. I stayed in a simple single room that was quiet and very clean. There was nothing to complain about.

“War auf der Durchreise und habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt.”

The location was very good, right next to the main road from GrStBernard toward Wallis in Liddes, and the village itself is very idyllic with its own cheese factory. The breakfast and dinner were very fine and plentiful, and they offered a regional beer. The kitchen and building are traditional, perhaps a bit old-fashioned, but absolutely okay, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Thank you. Unfortunately, the weather on my arrival was not ideal and I couldn't park my motorcycle in a secure garage.

A good place to stay if you plan to reach the top of the Grand Bernard the following day. The bicycle was safe, and I could even get breakfast earlier—they prepared it for me. The pizza was also tasty.
