I really liked how clean the room was – it was truly immaculate – and the fact that you can walk straight to the city center. The host was not very helpful at check‑in and seemed almost resentful, as if he was doing me a favor by letting me stay at his B&B, repeatedly insisting that everything was full and that he couldn’t manage the check‑in process. I couldn’t give a precise arrival time because of work, and he even told me that if I didn’t arrive before 19:30 I would be considered a no‑show, which made me work with a lot of anxiety. The linens are not changed daily (according to the rules the host explained), they’re changed every three days. My apartment had only one window, which wasn’t very comfortable or ventilated, no balcony, and a few mosquitoes entered the room. You have to be careful because the window opens onto a square with several restaurants, so if you leave it open you risk being seen – the curtains are very thin, so you really have to close the blinds and the window. At night there’s a lot of noise until midnight, and if you leave the window open because it’s hot you can’t really sleep.

Top location in center just in middle of action, but 2 windows double glazing each make room. Super silent. Recommended

The place sits in a great spot and the rooms are really cozy and comfortable. There’s no breakfast, but they do serve tea, which is nice, although having instant coffee isn’t great when Italian coffee is so good—an Nespresso machine would have been a nice addition.

We were greeted warmly by Giorgio. The accommodation is right in the heart of Catania, so the sights are within walking distance. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
