“Come a casa !”

The spot is perfect, near the center and close to bakeries, supermarkets, fruit shops, a dairy, and bars—nothing’s missing, just step outside and everything’s within reach. The accommodation was clean, and the sheets smelled like care rather than laundry. The real highlight is Mrs. Franca: sweet, available, smiling, and always ready to help—rare generosity. Breakfast is at a nearby bar with a great selection of croissants and quality bakery items. We’ll definitely come back. The shared kitchen with another room is a downside, but privacy is still maintained.

Breakfast at a nearby bar with high‑quality pastries, and the very kind owner filled us with gifts at departure. The city itself was very pleasant.

The place was perfect and spotless, and the hostess at reception was super sweet. The only issue was that breakfast is at a nearby bar, which was closed that morning, so it wasn’t included at least for us.

The owners, mother Franca and her daughter who speaks enough English, were very helpful. The room is large and the bathroom is spacious. Though not brand‑new, the house is well furnished and organized. Breakfast at Il Ponto bar—coffee and pastry, with croissants that aren’t overly sweet like elsewhere in Italy. The location is excellent, with free street parking. The city is nice and high, offering a beautiful view of the ancient Benedictine monastery, a paid site worth visiting. It’s worth staying here rather than in pricey Matera, especially since the drive between the two cities is 14 km. The downside is the stairs to the house and a 150‑meter descent and ascent to the well for breakfast.
