I was traveling through and needed a place to stay on short notice, so I booked a single room for one night and arrived only a few minutes before 21:00. Despite the late arrival, the host welcomed me warmly and personally. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered an upgrade to a better room – a truly nice gesture I’m grateful for. The entire property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. As I run guesthouses myself and work in building cleaning, I pay close attention to cleanliness and hygiene and can judge this well. I had nothing to complain about. The bed linen and towels were very fresh and pleasantly scented, adding to my comfort. I could add breakfast on the spot and was also very satisfied. The selection was generous and appealing. Fried eggs or scrambled eggs with bacon were freshly cooked. In addition, there was a generous selection of sausages and cheese, various cereals and muesli, and homemade jam that tasted really excellent. The breakfast room was also tastefully and decoratively furnished and – like the whole property – extremely clean and well maintained. The surroundings are beautiful and picturesque, both day and night, adding to the pleasant stay. Overall it was only a short stay, but it was exceptionally pleasant and relaxing. The warm hospitality and attention to detail left a positive impression. Thank you for the friendly reception, the upgrade, and the wonderful hospitality. I felt very comfortable and would gladly return when the opportunity arises. A small personal note about the mattress: it was a bit firmer than I’m used to, but that’s a matter of personal preference and not a criticism of quality. The mattress was in excellent condition, far from sagging, and overall very well maintained.

The breakfast was tasty, though the black tea came in basic tea bags; on the day we arrived we still got a delicious liver‑dumpling soup even though the kitchen had already closed. We can’t comment on the other dishes, but on Sunday the kitchen was surprisingly shut. The beds had ancient spring mattresses and they wouldn’t even offer an extra blanket; the cold‑water shower only worked after several attempts and then ran intermittently. On the first night a rowdy group of about 40 men shouted on the terrace well past midnight. From Monday to Saturday we were rudely woken at 06:00 by the church bells ringing from the adjoining church.
