The place had amazing amenities like a sauna and hot tub, everything was well maintained and spotless, the log‑cabin vibe was great, and the rural setting was breathtaking and perfect for disconnecting. The countryside was a bit of a drive to the nearest town, and remember that the pass from Leadville is only for 4x4s.

I loved staying in a cozy cabin surrounded by snow, a movie‑scene vibe! It’s about 1h20 from Aspen, so if you plan to go back and forth a lot it can be a bit tiring. The only downside was that the cabins didn’t have Wi‑Fi, only the main building did.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to meet our needs, which was a huge relief. However, our excitement was short-lived as we soon discovered that the nearby river was devoid of fish, which was a major letdown for us. Despite this, the staff's efforts to accommodate us made a significant difference in our stay, and we appreciated their dedication to ensuring our comfort.

I loved the warmth, spacious area, and how well-maintained everything was - it was perfect for relaxation. However, I should note that the distance from Basalt to Beyul is quite long, which could be a drawback if you plan on exploring the area.
