I was told I wouldn’t get a refund if I left. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The hallway vending machine didn’t work, and the room door was jammed, forcing me to pry it open with the key.

The staff were friendly, but the room smelled awful. We couldn’t shower because only a little water came out, and it was ice‑cold. The mattress and comforter were dirty, the fridge didn’t work, there were bugs inside and outside, lamps were broken, and the smoke detector was not functioning.

It seemed like a serious health issue that would warrant a closure. On the second floor, a man with a dog and another man constantly looking out the window made the environment feel very frightening.
