An unforgettable stay in the heart of a genuine human and cultural experience! We had wonderful moments with Papa and Mama, who welcomed us with rare kindness. The evenings together will remain beautiful memories: long, passionate exchanges about our cultures in a simple, warm, sincere atmosphere. Mama’s incredible attention to our family of four from start to finish, even buying a cake for our youngest son’s birthday, was touching. The house is charming, authentic, and very typical. The traditional architecture adds to the disorientation (just watch the low door frames for tall people, especially in the morning!). It’s a superb immersion, authentic and disorienting. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for more than a typical hotel night. Thanks for everything! Nothing to criticize, we strongly recommend it for those who want to break away from impersonal hotel approaches.

“It’s the kind of place that makes you believe in the goodness of the world and the kindness of people”

The house is a beautiful traditional Japanese-style home, very clean and well kept, with a warm and homely atmosphere, filled with little gifts and keepsakes from guests all over the world. The house is also guarded by two cat police officers, and there are cute little signs featuring them everywhere :) The bed is surprisingly spacious and very comfortable, with quite possibly the softest duvet I’ve ever slept under. I slept wonderfully during both nights of my stay. But what made this a truly one-of-a-kind experience, was the hospitality and, above all, the people. Mama is the warmest and friendliest person you could ever meet. She is incredibly hardworking, always positive, and has such a wonderful sense of humour. Papa is a little shy and quiet, but has the soul of an artist and a true craftsman’s spirit. He brews his own chai and creates beautiful hand-painted postcards with every guest’s name written in calligraphy. Their daughter is a talented artist, every morning at breakfast we had the pleasure of using the cat-themed ceramic mugs and plates she created. They added such a lovely personal touch which I absolutely adore. It’s definitely much more than just somewhere to stay, but a place that leaves a little warmth in your heart long after you’ve said goodbye. I wish Mama, Papa, and the whole family good health. May their home continue to flourish, bringing warmth, joy, and beautiful memories to everyone lucky enough to stay there

The treatment from Mama and Papa is probably the best you can get; they’re very kind and create a great family vibe at the hostel. Breakfast is delicious and healthy, and every detail of the hostel is amazing. The location isn’t ideal—there’s no nearby metro, only buses.
