Bihadanoyu Koshikano Onsen

The area is beautiful, the room and privacy are spectacular, the food is delicious, and everyone is very attentive. For walkers it’s very far from everything; only a taxi is an option, and exploring is limited to walking around. For those who can drive, it’s ideal.

“お籠りによさそう”

When I opened the door, the bathroom was right next to the room, with a flowing hot‑spring source that made the air steamy—surprisingly intense at first, but having an onsen right in the room without needing to go to a public bath was fantastic. On the drive from the airport we saw fireflies along the river. I wish breakfast were included even for an extra fee, and the curfew was a bit stressful; a friend’s work ran late, so we rushed dinner and barely made it back before the deadline, which was nerve‑wracking.

“Nice country side onsen of good value. Easy access to small town with conveniences.”

Nice mineral onsen, but the room was very small.

“Nice onsen horrible service and food”

I was impressed by the private onsen with hot mineral water and the cozy spa tent, but the staff didn't help me with my two suitcases and just watched me struggle. The room felt cramped, and the dinner and breakfast were partially frozen in the fridge or freezer with no clear explanation of what was what, so I didn't dare eat the meat because it didn't look fresh. The whole check‑out process felt like a drama with zero assistance.

The location is very beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The room itself is good. Having 2 private hotspring baths in your room is a different kind of experience, although I still don't get it why you need 2 :). The food was the worst money can buy. The breakfast is a joke, especially sandwiches one - we had to go to the nearby grocery store to buy food after every breakfast. The dinner is below average for the price they are asking - you will have a much better dinner in every nearby restaurant. We were very disappointed with the food, our next stay was in Kurokawa and we paid nearly the same amount for the food and we got a course meal with a high quality food and amazing taste. If you decide to stay here, just skip the meals. Onsens have hot spring water and obviously it makes your room hot and they have a very specific smell. So we had to drain them before going to sleep, even when they're asking to not to do that, otherwise it would be impossible to get a good sleep
