The location is superb, and the place is elegant and simple.
“Non ci tornerei”
The room was fairly clean and suitable for a short stay without many demands, and the location is very central; I don’t understand how this can be called a hotel, as I’ve stayed in many places over the years and this might be the worst in terms of value, the building is decayed and needs a major renovation, the key box at check‑in was broken and left outside where anyone could reach it, and if I’d paid less I wouldn’t have been so critical, but even considering this trip I stayed in better places for much less.
Katrina is in the old centre of the lovely city Cesis, tucked away in a peaceful area. The room was spotless, the owner was friendly and let me check in early. The shower water keeps pooling in the tub, which could use a fix.

The location is good, the price is excellent, and the check‑in process is quick and easy; the only downside is the poor signage, but otherwise it’s fine for the price.
