“Lovely location. Comfortable.”

The spot is fantastic with amazing views, the foyer is spacious and bright, and the staff are very helpful, yet the hotel feels worn out and in need of a makeover; the lounge area lacks views, rooms get hot even without the heater on and close‑shut windows let heat in quickly—probably hot pipes—plus the duvet is too heavy and warm, the lighting is poor and a light over the mirror in the main room would help, a friendly greeting would be nice, the restaurant menu is pricey with few choices like snacks, and breakfast could offer cheaper options such as beans on toast or bacon on toast instead of a full cooked meal.

“Convenient, comfortable, welcoming, would stay again.”

It was quiet, the bath water was hot, but the room TV was broken and the directional sign was hard to see in the dark.

“Disappointed”

From the outside the hotel looked nice, but the jacuzzi was out of service for maintenance—something I didn’t know when I booked—, the computers were broken so I couldn’t get a key, and I had to be let into my room each time I returned, which was a nightmare; the staff were busy checking in guests and I waited several times to be let in, there was no milk in the room for morning coffee, and the changing room cubicles were flooded with water, full of hair, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

“Run down dirty under staffed”

The place was dirty and run down, there was no light bulb, ceilings were flaking and falling, I waited 15 minutes for no one to serve us in the restaurant, the pool was overrun with gypsies and no staff dealt with them, and there was mold, broken tiles, and collapsed ceilings in both the bathroom and bedroom.
