“Entspannter Urlaub”

A wonderful, dog‑friendly B&B with a warm host named Marijke. The room, featuring a large bathroom, and the house were lovingly decorated, and the garden was idyllic. Every morning we were greeted with a generous, excellent breakfast and conversation about activities. Saaxumhuizen village is a handful of houses in a quiet rural setting—ideal for unwinding. For meals we drove to nearby towns or returned already full from the excursions. Thank you for the lovely stay.

“Aanrader”

The quirky décor of the room/house (sorry, no good Dutch word) made it personal instead of a generic 13‑in‑a‑dozen hotel room. Breakfast was very varied and excellent. The quiet, rural setting. The nice host. There might be small details, but they don’t outweigh the overall experience.

“We hebben genoten!”

Ontbijt was heel goed verzorgd, Marijke is een echte gastvrouw die gasten echt in de watten wil leggen. Er was niets wat ons niet beviel, we hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad!

The owner was warm and welcoming, the décor set a cozy mood, and the breakfast was fantastic and plentiful; we also enjoyed a nice, informative tour of the Saaxumhuizen church. The peaceful, lush garden was a highlight, and everything was thoughtfully arranged—just perfect.
