Breakfast was sufficient and tasty, but the tables were not set with cutlery or napkins; we had to arrange that ourselves. The breakfast window was narrow, only from 7:00 to 9:00. The toilet in our room had a lot of uric stone buildup, which could be improved.

Right on the Rheinsteig. The rooms and bathrooms are very small and noisy. The staff speaks almost no German, only limited English. It’s far from the town. If you’re walking along the Rheinsteig and then have to go into town for a meal, that can be a long walk.

Located next to Simone Kühn’s winery, which offers and markets excellent wines, KühnsMühle sits almost at the end of the world amid vineyards. The hotel is run very professionally with a lovable owner, friendly and kind staff. Staying here is a true pleasure, plus the outstanding Indian cuisine. It’s almost a must to return. Our stay was far too short. We have nothing to criticize; the praise is all we have.
