“Stay was OK. Other homestays are providing better amenities and VFM in Green Park/Hauz Khas.”

The location was central and easy to reach for several tourist spots, but the caretaker could have been more helpful and friendly.

“The owner needs to renovate the basics”

The property sits in a residential colony and feels safe; the caretakers were kind and friendly, and the marble flooring kept the apartment cool even when it was hot outside. However, the main electrical switch on the ground floor had a detached, exposed wire that nobody repaired even after we noticed it on day one. The hot water supply was too weak, which was annoying while bathing. The fan was old and squeaky, disturbing sleep. Our room had a glass door, so we could hear the caretakers chatting every evening, making us feel their constant presence.

“My unexpected experience in New Delhi.”

The only positive was being close to metro station Gate 3, but the roads leading there are full of potholes, causing water to pool. My wife's dress got splashed with dirty water from a speeding car, ruining our holiday mood. The flooded roads were poorly maintained, the area smelled of rubbish and mud, and a car even splashed muddy water on my wife's clothes. An auto driver cheated us; we paid INR 150 to a main market shop on the first day, a 5‑minute walk after dinner. The next morning there was no water, forcing us to leave for the airport without showering or brushing our teeth. The owner, Mr. Sumir, apologized, but the damage was done and I will never stay there again.
