A room with good air‑conditioning and a spot‑on location made the stay a breeze; just a 10‑minute walk to Popoyo break and a 20‑minute stroll to the beginners bay, while restaurants, groceries, surf rental and a fantastic sunset beach bar cocktail spot are all right outside the door. Giancarlo shared his local know‑how and set up a great trip to Lance’s left for us. When we head back to Popoyo we’ll definitely book again here.

The place feels like a real homestay, with a very friendly local family living on the top floor and three units that share bathrooms below; it’s not super fancy but clean, comfortable, has good fans and a shared kitchen. Power outages happen about three days a week in this area, so if you need reliable electricity or internet you might want to splurge on a place with solar backup or a generator.

This place has got it all - a stunning location right by the beach, a quiet and spacious room, and a lovely private bathroom. The WiFi was super fast, and the kitchen was spotless. But what really made our stay special was the friendly staff and the quirky bar on the beach, which is run out of a converted school bus. We had a fantastic time here and would definitely recommend it.

The location of this place is unbeatable - it's right in the heart of things, but still quiet and peaceful. We were a bit worried when we found out the owner was away, but the care taker Norlan was a lifesaver - he was so kind and helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. We'd definitely stay here again.
