The property is very sweetly designed. The owner is also very helpful and friendly, and you can see his touch in the house’s layout. Visually it’s absolutely worth seeing! Breakfast is DIY: coffee pods and tea bags are provided, yogurt sits in the fridge, and there’s a roll of bread per person on the table, plus a slice of butter and a little jam. Still, there’s room for improvement: the lighting in our room consisted of a wall lantern and a decorative lamp, both barely lit. There was no reading lamp or bedside table. The bathtub lacks a shower curtain, so everything gets wet when showering. The tap needs a spout; water splashes everywhere. Instead of soap, an old rag sits in the soap dish by the sink—what’s that for? The furniture is very old but functional; the bed is unfortunately under a slanted roof, so you bump into it. And an absolute no‑go: although Booking advertises a private parking spot, you have to turn the corner to a public lot. That’s impossible! Among all the accommodations on Reunion, it looked the best from the outside, but in terms of facilities it was the worst. We hope the owner takes these criticisms seriously because a lot can be improved.
