“Brilliant place to stay and fantastic hosts”

The hosts were fantastic—friendly and knowledgeable—offering great bush and harbour views, and the breakfasts were awesome.

Everything was great, and our little dog stayed calm; breakfast was terrific, though the outside automatic lights only stayed on for a couple of seconds.

Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented; the neighbourhood is quiet, filled with native trees and wonderful bird life, and the house and host were comfortable with my dog. I found my room a bit hot because it faces west, and even with the window wide open it didn’t cool until the sun went down; it might differ on a windy day, but there was little wind during my stay.

Vera and Klaus were so welcoming and thoughtful that we felt right at home; the highlight was the home‑cooked breakfast spread each morning, leaving us feeling spoiled; the B&B was charmingly decorated, clean, and I highly recommend it.

“A beautiful, comfortable stay with a wonderful host and an incredible view.”

Everything was amazing; Klaus was lovely and very accommodating, and even though we were in Auckland for a concert and didn’t stay at the house much, he made sure we knew where everything was and that we were comfortable; the home was beautiful, and the view was absolutely stunning. The only downside was being too rushed to enjoy breakfast, and the walk up the hill after a night out in heels was definitely a workout 😂
