I can’t say I liked much about it. The hotel was noisy—other guests’ showers were audible, doors slammed, and there was no kettle in the room for hot drinks. Breakfast was poor; the hot water jug wasn’t hot enough for tea, and no one was around to help. Facilities were subpar, fleas were in the room, and getting out of the lift was a nightmare: two of us with backpacks couldn’t exit Room 61, so a staff member had to open the door for us while he closed the lift, then we could get in. The lobby and corridor were tight and claustrophobic.
